Varicose Veins: Symptoms, Causes and Prevention

Varicose veins happen when you vein is either twisted or swollen. If you’ve bulging veins or your skin color changes around veins it means you’re suffering from varicose veins. It can limit your activities by hurting your body part where you’ve varicose veins. This mostly happens in legs and feet because of standing and walking which increase the pressure in the veins cause when walk or stand up then our body weight is on our lower body by which it increases pressure in veins.

 Symptoms of Varicose Veins

·        When veins look twisted and bulging.

·        When you start feeling heavy and aching in veins and itching around the veins.

·        When you start feeling burning, swelling and muscle cramping.

·        Rashes, sores on legs and change in the skin color near veins.

·        When you feel leg cramps at nighttime and heaviness in feet and legs.



Causes of Varicose Veins:

·        If someone in your family history had varicose veins then you also have chances to suffer from varicose veins. This could be inherited.

·        If you’re overweight then it’ll put extra pressure on your veins because of your weight so it might happen because of that also.

·        If you do work while sitting or standing for a long time then also you can suffer from varicose veins because when you sit or stand for a long time it decreases your blood circulation and cause varicose veins.

·        If you’re dealing with some severe heath conditions that increases pressure in your veins then also this could happen.

·        When blood flow stops in your veins due to any reason it’ll larger your veins and damage your vein valves. This could also be the reason of varicose veins

Varicose Veins Treatment in Jaipur:

       I.            Radiofrequency Ablation= In this treatment they use radio waves to create a current by which they can apply heat to small area of nerve tissue. In varicose veins treatment they heats up the vein until the walls collapse and once the larger veins collapsed they seal it.

     II.            Foam Sclerotherapy= In this treatment they mix chemical with air to make foam. This treatment is used when heat and laser treatment doesn’t work. In this the foam push blood away and helps veins to go in spasm. Compression stockings are needed after the treatment. You might need this treatment more than once.

  III.            Surgery= When varicose veins becomes larger then they can be removed surgically if that’s not severe. If the surgery is on one leg then they can discharge on the same day.

  IV.            Endovenous Treatment= When varicose veins bulging and swollen then we use the procedure in which we use heat in the form of laser to reduce your varicose veins and then this laser surgery shrinks or close the varicose veins within the vessel. This treatment procedure is known as Endovenous Laser Treatment.

    V.            Microphlebectomy= In this treatment process they insert special tools through cuts which is used to remove varicose veins.  

Prevention from Varicose Veins:

1)    Daily exercise especially legs exercise can help you from preventing the varicose veins.

2)    Lose weight if you’re over weight cause as we know heavy weight put pressure on veins and cause varicose veins.

3)    Avoid sitting or standing for a long period of time.

4)    If you’re sitting on chair or stool then make sure to put your feet up every time you sit.

5)    Try not to wear Tight-fitting clothes because they also put pressure on veins which can worse your varicose veins.
